COVID-19 virus has caused closures in many of the parks we were planning to visit. Today we had booked a site in Zion Canyon which we were looking forward to. Yesterday they closed the park. I know there are many people who have had to cancel vacations or rework plans- it stinks, but it is out of our control.
With the state and national parks and now many private parks closing, we decided that continuing to camp right now wasn’t a feasible plan. Today we found a rental home in Nevada and rented it for a month. We got a great deal on it because there are no VRBO/Airbnb tourists right now. So for the next 30 days we are staying put, hoping that there is a huge improvement in the next month and we can return to our regularly scheduled plans. There are definitely worse places to be quarantined. Hoping everyone else stays healthy and safe!
